1938 Warren Dorney buys manual printing press to print labels for his business. Bob and Bill Dorney (Warren's sons) start printing small orders for name cards and raffle tickets.
1940 Bob and Bill entered into their first mail-order business, printing birthday calendars for churches.
1942 Dorney Printing is registered as a business.
1947 Morris Perkin, a local lawyer, creates "Lawyer's Day," the predecessor of the modern Day-TimerŽ Planner.
1948 The Dorneys erect the first building to house the printing business.
1952 Perkin brings Lawyer's Day to Dorneys to print.
1950s Accountant's Day, Engineer's Day, and other specifically targeted products are created and introduced to market.
1960s The time planning system becomes universal for all professions.

The name "Day-Timer" is coined.

Plant added in Canada.

U.K. distribution established through a franchise office in London, England.
1962 New 1st Class Post Office built in East Texas, PA, to accommodate the large volume of mail generated by Day-Timer.
1970 The first full-color Day-Timer mail order catalog is produced.

"Day-Timers, Inc." is registered.
1972 Day-Timers, Inc. is bought by Beatrice Foods.

Day-Timer plant expanded considerably. Equipment and machinery added to become a self-contained manufacturer.
1980s Several new formats and sizes of Day-TimerŽ Planner Pages are introduced to satisfy customer requests for new products to accommodate their planning styles.

Alliance with renowned time management expert, Charles Hobbs, begins to take shape. Day-Timer buys the rights to Hobb's training materials (including Time PowerŽ) and enters the seminar business.

Beatrice Foods reorganizes to solve internal management problems and attempts to foil takeover bids. Ownership of Day-Timers changes hands several times.

Distribution expands to include Australia and New Zealand.
1988 Day-Timer is acquired by American Brands, Inc., under the umbrella of ACCO World Corporation (an office products division of American Brands).
1993 Loren Hulber replaces Steve Rowley as president.
1994 Distribution of Day-Timer product expands to include superstores like Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, etc.
1995 daytimer.com is registered.
1996 Day-Timer is named the personal productivity platform of ACCO North America.
1997 Day-Timer celebrates its 50th Anniversary.

The first Day-Timer Pink Ribbon products are introduced, with a portion of all proceeds being donated to breast cancer related charities.
1998 Day-Timer expands organization expertise to the travel market, introducing travel bags and automobile organization products.
1999 daytimer.com redesigned and moved to in-house servers.
2001 Day-Timer earns "Innovative Application of Technology" Award from Ben Franklin Technology Partnership of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
1998 Day-Timer expands organization expertise to the travel market, introducing travel bags and automobile organization products.
2003 Recognizing the need for organization and planning for better health, Day-Timer introduces the Diabetes Management Planner, and begins donating 15% of the proceeds to the American Diabetes Association.
2005 Day-Timer begins producing high-fashion luxury leather goods.

Day-Timer partners with the Breast Cancer Research FoundationŽ (BCRF) and expands the Pink Ribbon Collection, donating 10% of the proceeds to BCRF.
2006 ACCO Brands becomes the nation's largest retailer of office supplies.

Day-Timer wins Multichannel Merchant Award for both its catalog and website, daytimer.com

Day-Timer adds a state-of-the-art Komori Press to the East Texas, PA manufacturing facility.

Day-Timer is one of only six companies to win the Pennsylvania Governor's Award for Safety.
2007 Day-Timer celebrates 60 years of helping people organize and simplify their lives.

Day-Timer teams with time management, organization, and health experts to create Day-Timer Community, an online venue for sharing tips, ideas, and best practices.
2008 Day-Timer introduces The Green Series, the first product line to incorporate eco-friendly recycled materials in both the planner covers and pages.

Day-Timer has donated over $300,000 to the Breast Cancer Research FoundationŽ.
2009 Day-Timer Blog created to give members of the Day-Timer Family an online destination for sharing ideas on time management and productivity issues.

Day-Timer introduces Alex's Lemonade Stand Collection, with approximately 3-7% of proceeds donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand FoundationŽ, an organization dedicated to researching and curing childhood cancer.
